Materials to fauna and ecology of bloodsucking punkies (Diptea, Ceratopogonidae) in the lower reaches of Syr-Darya

Abstract

In the work the specific composition of bloodsucking punkies in lower reaches of Syr-Darya within the Syr-Darya district of Kzylorda region is presented. In total 10 species of punkies, relating to the sorts Culicoides and Leptoconops are found. For each species short information on ecology and area of their distribution are provided.
