Saryesik-atyrau’s sand and their ecological condition

Abstract

In recent years deterioration of an ecological condition of desert ecosystems of Saryesik-atyrau of the Balkhash area is observed. The reasons of it are first strengthening of process of desertification; secondly – the anthropogenous factor connected with decrease in moisture content of the territory owing to cutting down of the saksaulovy woods. For protection and restoration of desert ecosystems of sand of Saryesikatyrau it is necessary to prolong the moratorium on saxaul cutting down at least for 10-15 years and strictly to observe it.
