Abstract

The Southern Kazakhstan of soda-saline soils was isolated and identified 36 strains of sulfur-oxidizing bacteria. Conducted screening of strains to bio-oxidation (destruction thiosulfate to sulfate) and enzymatic (tiosulfate dehydrogenase and tiosulfate reductase) activity. Selected modes of aeration and culture conditions (pH, temperature), providing optimum harvest cells. These strains can be used in bio-melioration technology.
