A modern variety of fish fauna of upper stream of the Arys river

Abstract

Results of investigation of the fish fauna in the upper stream of the Arys river located in zone of active agrarian activity and technogenic transformation of natural landscapes are presented. Data of condition of fishes fauna this region before were published and have fragmentary character. Results of the performed works showed that a specific variety of inspection reservoirs is presented by six species of fish: goldfish Carassius gibelio, Turkestan gudgeon Gobio gobio lepidolaemus, topmouth gudgeon Pseudorasbora parva, sattar snowtrout Schizothorax intermedius, Ters stone loach Triplophysa conipterus, sculpin Cottus sp. Data about dimensional-weight and age structure of the fish fauna are provided. A modern variety of the fish fauna indicates on the rather favorable conditions of fishes dwelling in upper stream of the Arys river and importance of this region for preservation of native fish fauna of Kazakhstan.
