Information For Authors

Submissions to the journal are made using Open Journal System, the online submission and peer review system. Registration and access is available at Submissions

The article is submitted in electronic format (in the formats .doc, .docx, .rtf) only by downloading it through the functionality of the journal's website (Open Journal System).

The author for correspondence is obliged to provide a cover letter for publication in the journal.

Requirements for the article:

For publication, a previously unpublished by the author (s) material is accepted that corresponds to the profile of the journal / journal series in Russian, Kazakh or English.

All articles are subject to mandatory reviewing (expert assessment), literary and technical editing. Additional selection of reviewers, provision of objective and timely reviewing is carried out by the Editorial Board. The editorial board of the journal determines the correspondence of the article to the profile of the Journal, the requirements for registration and sends it for review to a specialist (independent expert). All reviewers are recognized experts on the subject of the peer-reviewed materials and have published publications on the subject of the peer-reviewed article over the past three years. The review is carried out confidentially.

The most important criteria for evaluating an article are: the relevance of the chosen topic and the problem posed; the novelty of the material presented, the author's personal contribution to the problem under study; the correctness of the terminological apparatus, citation, the reliability of the facts; use of modern sources and scientific methods; theoretical or applied significance of the research; validity of scientific findings; consistency, accessibility of presentation; compliance with the requirements for the design of articles.

If the article does not meet the requirements, the editorial board has the right to reject it.

Mandatory requirements:

  • The Editorial Board accepts previously unpublished articles of an experimental nature. Review articles are accepted only by order of the editorial board of the journal.
  • The article is submitted in electronic format (in the formats .doc, .docx, .rtf) ONLY by downloading it through the functionality of the journal website (Open Journal System).
  • Font size - 12 (abstract, keywords, literature - 10, table text - 9-11), font - Times New Roman, alignment - width of the text, spacing - single, paragraph indent - 0.8 cm, margins: top and lower - 2 cm, left and right - 2 cm.
  • The volume of the article (excluding the title, information about the authors, abstracts, keywords, bibliography) should be at least 1,500-7,000 words for science and technology. For experimental articles, a minimum of -10 pages.
  • Figures, tables, graphs, charts, etc. are presented directly in the text with the numbering and title (for example, Fig. 1 - Name of the picture). The number of figures, tables, graphs and diagrams should not exceed 20% of the total article (in some cases, up to 30%).

Layout guide for Recent Contributions to Physics using Microsoft Word

 All articles must contain an abstract. The abstract text should be formatted using 11 point Times New Roman. The abstract should give readers concise information about the content of the article and indicate the main results obtained and conclusions drawn. The abstract is not part of the text and should be complete in itself; no table numbers, figure numbers, references or displayed mathematical expressions should be included.

The title of the article, including the authors name/s of, name of the organization, city, country, and the title of the article must be given in three languages - English, Kazakh and Russian (see below). Abstract text should be identical in all three languages and should contain 150-250 words .

The abstract should be suitable for direct inclusion in abstracting services. Since contemporary information-retrieval systems rely heavily on the content of titles and abstracts to identify relevant articles in literature searches, great care should be taken in constructing both.

Keywords: use keywords separated by commas.

These guidelines, written in the style of a submission to Recent Contributions to Physics, show the best layout for your paper using Microsoft Word. If you don’t wish to use the Word template provided, please use the following page setup measurements.

 It is vital that you do not add any headers, footers or page numbers to your paper; these will be added during the production process at publishing (this is why the Header and Footer margins are set to 0 cm in table 1).

IMPORTANT! It is necessary to make a good literary review of your problem. References should include an average of 25 modern literature, especially over the past 5 years.

 Formatting the main part

Please follow these instructions as carefully as possible so all articles have the same style to the title page.

First, confirm that you have the correct template for your paper size. This template has been tailored for output on the A4 paper size. All margins, column widths, line spaces, and text fonts are prescribed; please do not alter them. Do not use hard tabs, and limit use of hard returns to only one return at the end of a paragraph. Do not add any kind of pagination anywhere in the paper. Do not number text heads.

The text of your paper should be formatted as follows:

  • 12 point Times New Roman.
  • The text should be set to single line spacing.
  • Paragraphs should be justified.

The paragraph should be indented by 10 mm.

The use of sections to divide the text of the paper is optional and left as a decision for the author. Where the author wishes to divide the paper into sections the formatting shown in table 2 should be used.

Figures

Each figure should have a brief caption describing it and, if necessary, a key to interpret the various lines and symbols on the figure. Authors should try to make economical use of the space on the page; for example:

  • avoid excessively large white space borders around your graphics;
  • try to design illustrations that make good use of the available space—avoid unnecessarily large amounts of white space within the graphic.

Wherever possible try to ensure that the size of the text in your figures (apart from superscripts/subscripts) is approximately the same size as the main text (11 points).

You are free to use colour illustrations for our Journal, because it is only online version.  Individual figures should normally be centred but place two figures side-by-side if they will fit comfortably like this as it saves space. Place the figure as close as possible after the point where it is first referenced in the text. Figures should never appear within or after the reference list.

Captions should be below the figure and separated from it by a distance of 6 points—although to save space it is acceptable to put the caption next to the figure. Figures should be numbered sequentially through the text—‘Figure 1’, ‘Figure 2’ and so forth and should be referenced in the text as ‘figure 1’, ‘figure 2’,… and not ‘fig. 1’, ‘fig. 2’, ….

Equations and mathematics

Make sure that your Equation Editor or MathType fonts, including sizes, are set up to match the text of your document. Equations may be numbered sequentially throughout the text (i.e., (1), (2), (3),¼) or numbered by section (i.e., (1.1), (1.2), (2.1),¼) depending on the author’s personal preference.

Acknowledgments

Authors wishing to acknowledge assistance or encouragement from colleagues, special work by technical staff or financial support from organizations should do so in an unnumbered Acknowledgments section immediately following the last numbered section of the paper.

References

It is vitally important for all the references to be accurate and to be carefully formatted using the guidelines below, otherwise delays may be incurred.

For our journal, please use the Vancouver numerical system where references are numbered sequentially throughout the text. The numbers occur within square brackets, like this [5], and one number can be used to designate several references. The reference list gives the references in numerical, not alphabetical, order.
