Information for authors

Publication of materials in electronic format (.doc, .docx, .rtf formats) to the journal is carried out using Open Journal System, an online submission and review system.

The author of correspondence is obliged to provide a cover letter for publication in the journal.

Order of submission and requirements to the design of the article (for the design of the article, use the TEMPLATE):

Previously unpublished material by the author(s) corresponding to the profile of the journal/series of the journal in Russian, Kazakh, or English is accepted for publication.

All articles are subject to mandatory review (peer review) and literary and technical editing. The Editorial Board of the Journal determines the compliance of the article with the Journal profile and design requirements and sends it to a specialist (independent expert) for review. All reviewers are recognized experts on the subject of the reviewed materials and have publications on the subject of the reviewed article within the last three years. Reviewing is conducted confidentially.

The most important criteria for evaluating the article are: the relevance of the chosen topic and the problem posed; novelty of the presented material; the author's personal contribution to the problem under study; correctness of terminology, citation, reliability of facts; use of modern sources and scientific methods; theoretical or applied significance of the research; validity of scientific conclusions; logicality; accessibility of presentation; compliance with the requirements for the design of articles.

If the article does not meet the requirements, the editorial board has the right to reject it.

Mandatory formatting requirements:

  1. The article is submitted in electronic format (in.doc,.docx,.rtf formats) ONLY by uploading it through the functionality of the journal's website (Open Journal System or Editorial Manager).
  2. Font size: 12 (abstract, keywords, literature: 10, tables: 9-11), font: Times New Roman, alignment: to the width of the text, single spacing, paragraph indent: 0.8 cm, margins: top and bottom: 2 cm, left and right: 2 cm.
  3. The volume of the article (excluding title, information about authors, abstract, keywords, and bibliographic list) should be at least 1,500-7,000 words for natural science and technical areas. For experimental articles, the minimum number is 10 pages.
  4. Figures, tables, graphs, charts, diagrams, etc. are presented directly in the text with the indication of numbering and title (for example, Fig. 1 - Title of the Figure). The number of figures, tables, graphs, and charts should not exceed 20% of the total volume of the article (in some cases up to 30%).
  5. The MRSTI index is placed in the upper left corner.
  6. One single space below the surnames and initials of the authors in bold. Full names of organizations, cities, and countries where the work was done, e-mail of one of the authors. Indicate footnotes to the place of work of the authors.
  7. Below the full title of the article in bold, single spacing.
  8. Below, in one interval, a brief (150-250 words) abstract. The abstract should outline the general orientation of the article, formulate its main results, and be self-sufficient; it is inadmissible to refer neither to literary sources nor to any sections or elements of the article to which it refers.
  9. Key words related to the submitted article.

Further paragraphs 6–9 should be repeated in English and Kazakh languages (if the article itself is in Russian).

Single-spaced text of the article in one column per page. The text of the article is typed in straight Times New Roman font, size 12. Line spacing is single. All margins are 2 cm.

The article should be divided into sections (Title page, Abstract, Nomenclature (if used), Introduction, Main body, Conclusions, Acknowledgements, References).

  • At the end, a "List of References" is given. Literature references are in the text in square brackets [1].
  • Abbreviations of words, names, and titles are not allowed, except for the accepted abbreviations of units of measurement and physical, chemical, technical, and mathematical quantities.
  • Formula expressions (should be typed in Microsoft equation editor, Math Type), illustrations, and tables should be numbered in accordance with the sequence of their mention in the text.
  • Tables should have names and numbering (Arabic numerals). Include explanations and notes if necessary.
  • The list of references is drawn up twice: according to the above GOST. The list should fully correspond to the main text of the article and contain all the works mentioned (and only mentioned) in it. Further, the same list of references should be presented in the common English transliteration (see below for a sample of literature design).
  • It is necessary to provide information about the authors on a separate page, including the authors' full name, place of work, position, academic degree, title, office address, contact phone numbers, and e-mail address.

When writing an article, it is necessary to conduct a detailed analysis of the relevance of the topic, i.e. the literature should contain at least 25 scientific articles, of which 50% are foreign articles for the last five years.

Literature at the end of the article is executed 2 times:

  • According to GOST (requirements of Science and Higher Education Quality Assurance Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan),
  • According to the following design (requirements of Scopus)
